On Nov. 26, 2025, the Government of British Columbia released the final report from an independent review of CleanBC, the province’s climate action plan. The government has committed to consider the report’s recommendations as it plans its next steps.

To inform the review, PICS commissioned and released a series of papers to provide insights regarding CleanBC. These papers were considered by the independent review and have been released publicly to support conversation and decision-making.

As part of PICS’ larger commitment to knowledge sharing, PICS sat down with researchers in our university network to talk about CleanBC, the importance of pursuing ambitious climate goals, and the need to move forward collectively to build a resilient, affordable, and climate-ready future.
