The Clean Energy Association of British Columbia will host the 2025 First Nations Energy Summit on December 8 and 9 at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, on the traditional, unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Peoples. This annual gathering is the only event in British Columbia dedicated exclusively to advancing First Nations participation and leadership in the clean energy and electricity sectors.
Centered on the theme of “Transforming Communities: Empowering Indigenous Leadership for a Sustainable Energy Future,” FNES 2025 will feature two days of dialogue, panels, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen connections, share best practices, and highlight the opportunities shaping B.C.’s clean energy future.
With participation expected from more than 80 First Nations, alongside industry, government, and academic partners, the Summit offers an essential space for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and collective visioning. FNES 2025 will also mark the second year of the Indigenous Youth Emerging Leaders Program, supporting the next generation of clean energy champions.
Don’t miss the CleanBC review panel, sponsored by PICS, on Monday, December 8, at 3:45pm in the Regency Ballroom. The panel will include PICS Executive Director Ian Mauro and Indigenous Research and Partnerships Lead Janna Wale.
