PICS awards $800,000 to UVic researchers advancing climate solutions

The University of Victoria (UVic) is a nexus for climate leadership and innovation in Canada—and the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS) is supporting that vital work by awarding more than $800,000 this fall to eight UVic research teams.

“UVic has a long history of addressing urgent challenges facing oceans, lands and human well-being in local communities and across the globe. This investment from the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions will mobilize vital climate action research in Greater Victoria and beyond,” says Lisa Kalynchuk, UVic vice-president research and innovation.
