PICS podcast named 2025 Signal Award finalist

Vote now for A Radical Act of Hope with Siila Watt-Cloutier 

Siila Watt-Cloutier offers a vision of radical hope — and the world is listening. 

A Radical Act of Hope with Siila Watt-Cloutier, the podcast Watt-Cloutier created with the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions, has been named a finalist for the 2025 Signal Awards.  

The limited series podcast explores the life, work, and wisdom of one of the world’s leading voices on climate change, human rights, and Indigenous ways of knowing and being.  

A Radical Act of Hope is nominated in the category Limited Series: Activism, Public Service and Social Impact. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in the category will be announced Oct. 15. 

The podcast is also eligible for the Listener’s Choice Award.

Voting is open until Thursday, Oct. 9. 

“Siila’s message of conscious climate leadership and radical hope is the wisdom the world needs right now, as we contend with complex challenges such as climate change, political instability, division, and conflict,” says PICS Executive Director Ian Mauro. “It’s gratifying that others are seeing the value of her story, voice, and approach.” 

A Radical Act of Hope is hosted by Watt-Cloutier, PICS’ inaugural Indigenous Climate Fellow, our Executive Director Ian Mauro, and Gitxsan and Cree-Métis climate researcher Janna Wale, PICS’ Indigenous research and partnerships lead. It was produced in collaboration with Everything Podcasts

The Signal Awards, based in New York City, uplift the podcast medium “by recognizing the most potent, meaningful and unprecedented audio projects being made today.”
